Today I tell you about one of Geneva’s hidden gems. An Italian gem, LA CANTINA DE VINI, lovely little italian restaurant in Geneva, or how I am now calling it: My new favorite pasta place! It is the perfect place to indulge yourself when you’ve been depriving your body of carbs for days in the hope of dropping a few pounds before summer #SummerBody.

I do not know if it actually qualifies as a restaurant… It is a long wooden table placed in the wine cellar at the back of the italian delicatessen « Saveurs d’Italie ». Eating pasta surrounded with wine bottles (I look like the emoji with hearts in his eyes writing this sentence). You share the table with other Vini lovers but you don’t have to touch elbows with your neighbors as they do not take more than 10 persons. Doesn’t it make the place even more special? (it also means that you should not forget to book first).

No menu, a lovely waitress discloses the specials for today. Variety of smoked meat, degustation of buffala (someone on trip advisors says it is the best) and tomatoes, and the fresh pasta! I remember her telling me about their raviolis: boletus, ricotta and spinach, eggplants, lemon #FoodPorn! In case you were wondering I had the Boletus raviolis with parmesan cream sauce which I sprinkled with a lot more of freshly gratted parmesan cheese #NextLevelCheatMeal!
